CPR class, new dates, $50 fee

The Merrick Public Library is offering an American Heart Association CPR and First Aid Class presented by Matt Simpson on Tuesday, April 5 and Wednesday, April 6, 2011.  The class will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and attendance at both sessions is mandatory.  The class is being offered to members of the community who want a course completion card.  Students will learn to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives as well as adult, child and infant CPR.  Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) will also be taught.  This class is open to members of the community age 11 and over.
