Tea, Cheese and Chocolate with Klassic Kreations

PLEASANT PAIRING: WITH TEA, CHEESE AND CHOCOLATE TASTING. Thursday, November 17, 5:30 p.m. at the library.  Join Kim Larkin of Klassic Kreations Gourmet as we explore the interesting histories of Tea and Chocolate. Hear all about the health benefits of both and learn a bit about the reverent tea ceremony. Lovely antique teapots and lace will be on display as well as our tasty tea, cheese and chocolate samplings, which round out this fun and educational program. Free event, but please sign up, by Wednesday, November 16.

Banister Book Group for November

BANISTER BOOK GROUP: Tuesday, November 29, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Kitchen House by Kathleen Grissom.  Working as an indentured servant alongside slaves on a tobacco plantation, Lavinia, a 7-year-old Irish orphan with no memory of her past, finds her light skin and situation placing her between two very different worlds that test her loyalties.

The library is hosting a costume exchange, or come and get a costume!  Available during open library hours.  Candy is being collected and may be dropped at the library, also.

Trick or Treat is Monday, October 31 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Apple time of year!

The 38th Apple Country Fair is Saturday, October 8, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The Friends of the Library will have their Annual Book Sale and Apple Pie Surprise, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
If you fall clean, we are excepting book/material donations for the Book Sale during regular open hours.

Thursday, August 11, 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Followed by an open house of the children’s room to celebrate Halie Smith’s paintings of beloved story characters, with refreshments.
