Trick or Treat with Hillcrest Montesorri School!

Wednesday, October 31 the library had a Treat and a Treat for the students of Hillcrest Montesorri School!  We had goodie bags and sand art fun!  As always a wonderful visit with all!

New to the Libby App! 97 Magazines with Simultaneous Use lending model!


Great magazines in our Libby and OverDrive magazine collection as of October 19, 2018. There are 97 in total. All of these magazines are under the Simultaneous Use lending model. This means that there's never any waiting for patrons to get to see them. As many patrons as want can all have them at the same time without restriction. Magazine titles can be searched in our Libby and OverDrive catalog just like other titles.

Events at the library for the week of October 23 to October 26





FOR STUDENTS:
Massachusetts STEM WEEK, October 23-26, 2018, Wednesday, October 24 and Friday, October 26, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. activities will include: contraptions, Magformers, Kevamaker bot maze, ozobots.  Age range will be toddler to school-aged students, drop in with no sign-up.

FOR ADULTS:
The Rotary Club of the Brookfields, serving the Brookfields, Spencer and the Warrens will present an informal talk on domestic violence, Thursday, October 25, 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. with from Brookfield Police Department.

An inside look at the Brookfield Historical Commission office and storage space at town hall.

These pictures will be part of a joint display of Brookfield Historical Commission and Merrick Public Library historical resources that are currently inaccessible to the public. The Historical Commission and the Library hope to partner in the creation of a historical museum to make historical artifacts, pictures, genealogy and more, available for public use. The pictures will be on display at 18 Common Street during the Friends of the Merrick Public Library book sale on Saturday, October 6, from 10am - 2pm. And the pictures will be on display in the library.
