SUMMER READING FUN: Merrick Public Library Summer Reading
2017
The summer reading theme this year is Build a Better World.
BUILD WITH US! Thanks to a grant from the Brookfield Community
Club, we have Magnatiles, Magformers, and wooden blocks to play with! Starting
June 23, drop in Thursdays and Fridays from 1 to 4.
READ WITH US! Sign up for summer reading! We are again doing
a joint program with the Brookfield Elementary School. The school and library
will hand out the same reading chart. Read as much as you can! When your chart
is full, bring it to the library: we will stamp it and give you a prize.
Brookfield Elementary School students can use the same chart twice—after you
get it stamped at the Merrick Public Library, turn it in at school for another
prize. Summer reading starts when school gets out (June 22) and ends when
school starts up again (August 29). Open to all ages.
