Family Dinner! Anit-bully campaign in Brookfield continues...




A FAMILY DINNER hosted by Police Chief Michael Blanchard and Library Director Brenda Metterville is scheduled for Thursday, December 5 at 6:00 p.m. Chicken tenders from Uncle Sam’s Pizza in East Brookfield is on the menu (plus sides)!  Join us for an anti-bullying picture book read aloud and great food.  This anti-bullying dinner is sponsored by the Russ Wilcox Memorial Fund, administered by the Friends of the Library.

The Friends will next meet on Thursday, December 19 at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are available for our Holiday Basket Raffle, $1.00 each or 10 for $5.00.  The drawing will take place on Wednesday, December 18 at 4:30 p.m.   



We encourage donations to the Ecumenical Food Pantry this month to help make the holiday season one of plenty for everyone. Food and non-perishables may be dropped off at the library during regular open hours.  The pantry is located in the rear of St. Mary’s Church and is open year round.

Winter Programs 2013-2014



FOR CHILDREN:
·         Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m. Pre-School Music Time with Ms. Coro. No age limits, no sign-up and free snack included in this free program!  Funded by Jeppson Memorial Grant for Brookfield, Greater Worcester Community Foundation.   
·      ·  LEGO CLUB, 1st and 3rd Thursday, 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. of each month.

FOR ADULTS:
·         Wednesdays from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Adult computer time.  The Council on Aging has provided a laptop computer for senior citizens to use.
·         Fridays at 3:00 p.m. Home Delivery for the homebound, service is sponsored by the Friends of the Library call for more information.

Lawyer for a Night with Attorney James Hoffey will next be available on Tuesday, December 3, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

CLOSED! Saturday, November 9 and CW/Mars update this weekend

The library will be CLOSED Saturday, November 9 to observe Monday, Veterans Day.

AND CW/Mars UPDATE :
Important Notice about System Upgrades
Starting Friday, November 8, at 6 p.m. and going through the weekend, we will be upgrading the software that runs our library systems
During the upgrade, the Online Catalog will be available to search but you will not be able to place holds or to log into your account.
The library systems will be available again on Tuesday morning, November 12.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience as we work to enhance our library systems.
