PRESCHOOL STORYTIME with Shanna Desroches, Fridays starting September 6, 11:30 a.m. to Noon.  Free, no sign-ups, no age limits, with a free snack and apple juice or water.  This program is funded by the Jeppson Grant for Brookfield, through the Greater Worcester Community Foundation.

Read and Rise, Early Literacy program

Patty Sinko is rescheduled to present the Read and Rise program and book give away for Wednesday, March 5 at 11:30 a.m.

Reminder:  If the Tantasqua Union 61 school system is closed due to weather, the library is closed also.  If there is a two hour delay we are open our regular hours.

Pre-school story time families are invited to visit the Brookfield Police Department, Friday, June 4th at 11:30 a.m. Join us for a tour and a snack!

The last days of pre-school story time on Wednesdays and Fridays for this school year will be Wednesday, June 2 and Friday, June 11.

Music and fun times with Ms. Renee Coro

Delaney as a Lady Bug during a Halloween Friday with Ms. Renee Coro. Music time is every Friday at 11:30 a.m. with a snack. There will be no story times (Wed. and Fri.) during Thanksgiving week. Funded with a grant from the Jeppson Memorial for Brookfield, Greater Worcester Community Foundation.

Fire Safety!





Fire Equipement and Safety visits with Fire Chief Peter Martell will take place at the Fire Station with the pre-school story groups from the library on Wednesday, October 7 and Friday, October 9 (both) at 11:30 a.m. Rain or shine!

Fall Story Times

Music time with Ms. Coro begins Friday, September 4 at 11:30 a.m.! This free program is by drop-in, no sign-up. Always a musical story time with a free snack. All ages welcome to attend. This program is funded in part by a grant from the Jeppson Memorial Fund for Brookfield, Greater Worcester Community Foundation.

The Community Partnership for Children is sponsoring Wednesday Story Times with Sharon Champoux at 11:30 a.m. This is another free drop-in program. Ms. Champoux will begin Wed. September 16.

Pre-school story time visits the Brookfield Police Department

Thank you to the Brookfield Police Department for hosting another great pre-school visit!

Parents enjoyed the visit too! Mom, Amy Law had a fine welcome while Sgt. Chris Welsh was on the telephone.

Dad, Tom with Alison watched and waited while Mom, Holly with William look on as Officer Nick prepares William for his kit.










Samantha and Emily had fun checking out the SUV cruiser.





Vehicles slowed from 40 mphs to 20 mphs when they spotted the pre-schoolers with Sgt. Chris Welsh checking their speed!

Pre-School visits to Brookfield Police Department

Due to weather concerns--tomorrow's pre-school visit to the Brookfield Police Department, Wednesday, June 10, 2009 is re-scheduled for Wednesday, June 17 at 11:30 a.m.

Mrs. Kenyon will be here June 10 for regular story-time and craft (with snack!).

Friday, June 12 visit will take place as scheduled at 11:30 a.m.

Reminder: Bike helmet give away is Thursday, June 18 starting at 4:30 p.m.

Pre-School visits to the Brookfield Police Department


Chief Ross Ackerman and members of the police department invite the library Pre-School Story Time students and parents to visit the station on Wednesday, June 10 and Friday, June 12 (Rain Dates: Wednesday, June 17 and Friday, June 19). Assistance will be provided in completing Molly Bish Life "Guard" Safety Kits for each child.
