Saturday was a truly fun day on the Common in Brookfield! With more than 150 present Sam Grant and Julie Marin performed a Living History with Ulysses S. Grant and biographies of 13 Ladies of 1865 including Belle Boyd, Dorothea Dix and Clara Barton. Music played; cider and ginger cookies were available for refreshment.
We would like to thank the Brookfield Cultural Council, Friends of the Merrick Public Library for collaborating to bring this wonderful program to our community.
Tuesday, September 25 at 7:00 p.m. Bannister Book Group will discuss a biography of Ulysses S. Grant by Michael Korda. The public is welcome to attend.
