Robert Wilder, Tuesday, December 16 at 7:00 p.m.

Tuesday, December 16 at 7:00 p.m. Robert Wilder’s lecture will answer: Why did Brookfield become a hub of transportation during Colonial New England? How many weeks would you have to work in order to mail a letter 400 miles? Why did people pay for postage after they received mail? Envelopes were not in vogue for mailing a letter—Find out why?! Why did Ben Franklin change the way we did postal business?

Hi Bob,
When did they start using the 1 cent postage stamps?
Was there an early crematory (1900) in the Brookfields and whom had the funeral parlor on Central St. Brookfield? Thought you might know if anyone would.
