Banister Book Group:

Tuesday, May 31, 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Elephanta Suite by Paul Theroux. This suite of three novellas explores the gritty reality of American tourism in India: the book is not for those readers who seek another sunny portrait of an exotic land. (Amazon.com) Books are available to borrow during regular library hours.

Tuesday, June 21, 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Lost Laysen by Margaret Mitchell. The author's suitor, Henry Love Angel , preserved letters, a story in two handwritten notebooks, and photographs of their years spent together. His son found these and brought them to Debra Freer at the Atlanta Road to Tara Museum. Freer laced together the letters, photographs and the story as a treasured gift from the beloved author of Gone with the Wind. Our book group will recess for the summer and resume again in September.
