Due to the heat expected for tomorrow, the Merrick Public Library has agreed to extend its regular hours from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm on Friday, July 22. The library is temperature and humidity controlled and may be a good option for people that don’t cope with this heat so well. People are welcome to bring snacks and drinks. Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed or crated, but unruly pets will not be allowed to stay.
