Curbside Pick-up & Book Return FAQs

I returned my library materials in the outdoor book drop a couple of days ago, but they are still on my account. Are they lost, and will I be charged a late fee?
  • All returned items enter a 72-hour quarantine before they are checked in. Your account will update after about 3 business days. No fines or late fees will be applied to your account. If a week has passed since you returned library materials, and they are still on your account, please call 508-867-6339, or email brookfieldcovid19@gmail.com.

How do I place holds?
  • You may place your own holds on library materials through the Library’s Catalog (bark.cwmars.org) or the C/WMARS Mobile App. If you need assistance, you may contact the library by calling 508-867-6339 or emailing brookfieldcovid19@gmail.com. If a staff member does not answer, please leave a message with your name, phone number, and a message letting staff know you would like to place a pickup order.

Is there a limit to the number of holds I can request?
  • You may request up to 20 holds online per individual library card. Families with multiple library cards may place up to 20 holds on each card.

How will I know when my holds are ready to be picked up?
  •     You will be notified via phone call when your items are available for curbside pick-up. Due to social distancing measures, you must schedule a date and time for pick-up.

Where can I pick up my holds?
  • When you arrive at the library during your scheduled pick-up time, you will be able to locate your items in a paper bag that has your last name on it. Bags will be on the table in the foyer, just inside the main entrance doors. Only one person (or family) pick-up at a time; if you notice someone else at the pick-up table, please wait until they have exited the building to pick-up your bag.

Are my materials already checked out to me?
  • Yes, all bagged materials are checked out to you on the date of your scheduled pick-up, prior to your arrival. All materials are checked out for their regular loan periods. Please notify a library staff member prior to pick-up if you would like a due date receipt.
